Riding the rough and smooth

« on: January 26, 2014, 07:26:38 PM »

Tunnel Hill! That wasn't the problem we came down it this time. It was all the others we had to go up on this undulating 7 mile circuit near Mitchett.

Well you know it rained all day, no choice we had to do it! I don't think I have seen so much mud, the bike was sliding everywhere. Just went down once but had a lot of very close shaves.

At two laps I was lying 22nd. On the Third I was struggling but clear of anyone around in my category, with fatigue I was having difficulty in controlling the bike and after hitting my fourth tree I decided that was enough. Then on a fast rooty downhill section pisssssssss Rear tyre. I would miss the 3 hour cut off now anyway.

Finished 24th in section 3hours 8 mins.    Think I get 15 points  Just got to see how we finished overall now.
