On a beautiful morning, we said a very sad farewell to our "good friend" Andrew, who passed away on September 22nd 2015, after a long illness.  Andy was taken all too soon at the tender age of 51 years old.  Andrew was an active member of Hounslow & district wheelers until he moved to Wallingford 8 years ago, and previous to this he rowed for Staines Rowing club.  There were many friends & family at Andy's funeral, including 8 members of HDW.  He achieved much with Paul on the tandem, raced on the road but his most outstanding achievement by far, and the one he was most proud of was becoming "club wimp"!  He delighted in the challenge of holding the trophy for many years, he was a true Wimp!!
The closing music at his funeral was " This charming man"" by the Smiths, which summed Andy up perfectly.  You were a true friend Andy to many and this world has lost one of the good guys.  Thanks for some really fun times, so many lovely memories.....
You will be sadly missed by many.  RIP Andy.... Luv Jo xx

What sad news, so shocking, so unexpected.
