2.15.24

The guardian spirit of the F1 was in a bad temper last Sunday. When I left home (very early) there was hardly a breath of wind, when I started it was still fairly calm but by the time I got to the northern turn at 39 miles there was a strong south westerly breeze; the road is mostly exposed and most of us were really grovelling. Except Mr. Cammish who went past me as though he had a personal tailwind. He finished in 1.49.49., so I can't claim it was a really bad day.
